We’re looking for a manager…

Who wouldn’t want this view every day?

The Kings Arms Community Pub is situated at the heart of the old coastal village of Strete, in the popular tourist destination of the South Hams in Devon. The village is five miles from the historical port of Dartmouth and sits within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have more sunshine than most of the UK, a great coastal lifestyle and a warm, friendly community.

We are looking for skilled, passionate and friendly manager to deliver a high-quality experience at our traditional village pub and community hub.

The Kings Arms is the village pub and has been a community pub (as Strete Community Pub Limited/SCPL) since October 2020 despite everything that has been thrown at the hospitality sector in that time, in part because of a loyal following from both near and far, and because of the great affection our community has shown by supporting the pub financially when required. The pub already runs a number of established and successful special nights and events across the year and has been building up its profile with local press coverage and a show presented from the pub on BBC Radio Devon.

The Kings Arms Community Pub is run by a small committee, with one of the committee members currently acting as the interim manager but we recognise that now is the time to hand over to a committed, energetic manager to develop the business and fully realise its potential.

The right person will be offered a competitive salary of between £30k-£32k plus a share of net profits…as well as one of the most beautiful and friendly work environments you could hope for!

This is not a live-in role but we can help you find accommodation.

CLOSING DATE for CVs and Letter of Application October 31st 2023. Please email to jobs@kingsarmsatstrete.co.uk.
